Lead Locators was proud to exhibit the Lumetallix instant lead test kit and to sponsor the well-attended cocktail hour at the National Lead and Healthy Housing conference in New Orleans recently.

The 300 attendees and presenters were treated to a wide variety of speaking topics in the wonderful city of New Orleans. LEHA, the sponsor, packed the event with top-notch speakers, including a high-ranking EPA employee. There was an award ceremony where two distinguished gentlemen received lifetime achievement awards.

We had a special session with Howard Mielke, Ph.D.  A pioneer who did the science to prove that invisible lead in fuel was harming our health, then did something about it by sharing his data with the government, which ultimately made history by having it removed at least from automotive fuel for now.

HUD officials were sadly absent because they had scheduled an event at the same time.

I got some quality jazz in on Bourbon Street, too. Lumetallix was warmly welcomed and spoken about by several companies who are using it to get clearance around the country, and most exciting to me is that one of the prominent lead industry leaders said. “People, we need to look seriously at this new technology, Lumetallix”, during the wrap-up.
