What Is The Lumetallix Solution?

by | Dec 13, 2024 | Lead Detection | 0 comments

Great question. The answer is a double entendre. On the one hand, it is a solution (a chemical in a bottle). It is also a solution to reveal where lead lurks in our ecosystem. The results will amaze you.

The solution is called Lumetallix. It is a transparent liquid with isopropyl alcohol as its medium, along with some other trace chemicals. When in contact with lead, it causes a perovskite reaction that can be seen with the naked eye when exposed to UV light. (In this case, it turns fluorescent green) The kit we sell has two reagent containers and a UV flashlight (and battery), enough to do at least 100 tests.

What’s the Big Deal About Lead?

Lead is in the environment, and it became a nightmare when it was added to gasoline to reduce engine pinging and slipped into all sorts of things like pottery (some of which we cook and serve on), Leaded glass, that was the good stuff, and building materials like plumbing lines. Roofing materials, paint, and a slew of other things. The truth is that lead is harmful to folks who are chronically exposed. It is incredibly detrimental to children, too. It is turning up all over, including rubber pellets used in astroturf, cosmetics, spices, and children’s toys. The list goes on and on.

Where Did It Come From?

The Lumetallix product was discovered while scientists were working on a way to quickly identify lead contaminants in the Solar Panel field in the Netherlands. The process had wide-reaching potential to reduce lead by finding it worldwide. Lumetallix was started with a core of scientists, professors, and Doctors. The company began, and the process is being patented.

Nobody Wants To Be Around Lead

The problem is that it is an invisible nemesis. It lurks in places you least expect it. I just spoke to a gentleman in Seattle who was excited to get ahold of our test kit because he has been researching lead in soil for years and has not had a reliable test until now. He shared some published papers he authored on the subject and recalled that his daughter had been exposed to lead from the soil while playing in the dirt in an urban environment. Our test kit works on soil.

What Is The Plan For The Solution

The big plan for Lumetallix is to distribute the product worldwide to reduce and possibly eliminate lead poisoning in children, which is a huge task. My part is getting third-party verification that the product performs to exacting tolerances, likely 10 X more sensitive than the EPA requires. We are already distributing the product through Amazon to the USA. Our job is to get this excellent product into the hands of ordinary people who want to know more about the hazards around them and professionals who must detect lead when present and protect their clients.
