Lead Locators By Lumetallix

Lead Locators is the proud new USA distributor of Lumetallix lead test kits. One kit will allow someone to do at least 100 tests. The green product is full strength and can test down to 500 PPM. That is 10x more than is needed for Professional Use. Why you ask? I have no idea. The test is a screening test that is highly accurate and immediate. Currently, it is considered qualitative and not quantitative. We are working on other varieties but this is the one product on the market now, so this is what we use. The kits are available on Amazon right now.

Lead Test Kit

Each Test Involves These 5 Steps:

  1. Selecting an appropriate place to test that is not wet.
  2. Then prepare the surface:
    • By exposing it. Use a Mr. Eraser for silverware, pottery, and glass.
    • Paint should be gouged down to raw wood.
  3. Spray or apply a small amount of the clear liquid chemical on the area to be tested. (Same chemical in both containers)
  4. Shine the UV light (Battery Included) on the area just readied for testing. Does it glow bright green? = Positive / no reaction means Negative.
    • Compare results to the color chart provided to verify that you are seeing the expected results.
    • Consider photodocumenting your findings for future reference.
  5. Wipe off the surface and wipe off your tools so there is no cross-contamination to the next test.

For Professionals

From the start, my goal was to help contractors provide professional testing and amazing reports. This reporting feature for professionals is the brainchild of my original Lead Locator partners Gail & Carter Duke & I, We did such a good job that our EPA Region 10 representatives made it clear that they were the best in the world. My dream is to create a FREE App for those who need to warehouse accurate reports and provide a separate report to the workers responsible for doing the Lead Safe Work Practices.

The App

Among other things the App will collect the data learned by following our protocol., then it will move the data into the cloud ultimately it will merge and store the data into a beautiful report for EPA compliance and provide a separate printable report for the workers so they can do the appropriate Lead Safe Work Practices if needed. A small fee per home and an annual or monthly storage fee will be assessed. The App is in development and we will announce it when it becomes available.
