Lead Dust Detection and NVG’s

NVG’s

I was a Flight Paramedic in Idaho for 35 years. I started as a volunteer with the South West Idaho division of the Back Country Medical Rescue Team. I carried a pager when I wasn’t on shift as a paramedic on the ambulance. Then, when Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center started the Life Flight program in 1986, I became a full-time employee.

Night Vision was an evolving science that the military has developed over the years. As the military becomes well-versed, civilian companies acquired the technology and shared it with the EMS community. It took years to adopt. I credit Night Vision Goggles with saving my life and aircraft a handful of times. Now, all EMS rotor-wing aircraft pilots use them at night, and most crew members do, too.

I Liken This Lead Test To NVG’s

Many deaths in the EMS world resulted from the inability to see immovable objects at night. Flying at night without them was risky business. When we were provided with state-of-the-art equipment and could see in the dark, our mission was simplified, and the risk was reduced dramatically. The Lumetallix Instant Lead Test is incredibly similar. It has the same green hue when exposed to UV light. It can also save your life or that of your children.

Positive test for Lead Paint

Seeing Is Believing

I have talked with folks who have leaded children. Many had similar histories of being exposed by accident while renovations were happening on their homes. Some were self-caused, and careless contractors caused others. No matter the cause, the goal is to keep lead away from children. When you can illuminate the lead hazard, you can do something about it. Lead paint is one form of hazard that exists, but the mother of all hazards is lead dust.

Remember, lead gets into kids by inhalation and ingestion. Just looking at it won’t hurt you. This is where the magic of the Lumetallix instant lead test happens.

This Product Sees Lead Paint & Dust Like NVG’s

Sure, some kids chew on lead paint, which has been a documented cause. That is sad, and there are plenty of educational programs to prevent that. The invisible dust created by disturbing lead-based paint is the more significant risk. This revolutionary new testing tool called the Lumetallix instant lead test kit will show the country where the lead dust is in the future.

Scientists in the Netherlands developed a formulation that is as transformational as NVG’s. Nothing like it existed before this scientific breakthrough. Soon, Health Departments, renovators, and parents will not recall what it was like before we could see lead hazards in our environment.
